Steel Melting Shop

Billets Stack

The Core of Integrated Steel Manufacturing

The Steel Melting Shop (SMS) is the heart of Varrsana Ispat's integrated manufacturing facility, where premium-grade molten steel is produced with precision and efficiency. Using carefully selected raw materials such as Sponge Iron and Pig Iron, we transform them into high-quality steel through advanced metallurgical processes.

Our state-of-the-art facility is equipped with modern Induction Furnaces (IF), Ladle Refining Furnaces (LRF), and Continuous Casting Machines (CCM). This advanced infrastructure enables precise control over the chemical composition, temperature, and quality of molten steel, ensuring the production of uniform, defect-free billets that meet stringent industry standards.

These high-quality billets form the foundation of our Rolling Mills, where they are further processed into premium TMT Bars and Structural Steel. By maintaining complete control over every stage of production, Varrsana Ispat delivers products with exceptional strength, consistency, and reliability—meeting the evolving demands of the construction and infrastructure sectors.

Technology & Process

Ensuring Quality from Liquid Steel to Solid Billet

Induction Furnace

We utilize high-efficiency Induction Furnaces to melt sponge iron and scrap. This eco-friendly process ensures faster melting with minimal material loss.

Ladle Refining (LRF)

The molten metal is transferred to the LRF for secondary refining. Here, we adjust the chemistry (desulphurization, dephosphorization) to meet specific grade requirements.

Continuous Casting (CCM)

The refined liquid steel is cast into solid billets using a multi-strand Continuous Casting Machine, ensuring uniform internal structure and surface finish.
